If that kind of thing was still fashionable
At 19, he never dreamed to be in a position
To commentate on life's grand condition
He's alone among friends
And he's alone

Now that he's paid
For mistakes
And he tries not too feel sorry for himself

But when he cries, she smiles
She's sure today will be brighter than the past

It's late now in a dark quite room
There's frost outside and his glass is half full
